call for peace

The Kareem D. Sapp Foundation, Inc. hosted a community event entitled, A Call for Peace on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 12pm-4pm at the African American Museum located in Hempstead, NY. The purpose of this event/concert was to positively engage the community-at-large on an afternoon that will be filled with networking and live entertainment.  Featured performances include renowned R&B artists, The Force MDs (‘Let Me Love You‘ ‘Tears’ ‘Here I Go Again’ ‘Love is a House’ ‘Tender Love’) , MC/On-Air personality Chubb Rock (‘Just the Two of Us’ ‘Treat ‘Em Right‘) and Jeff Redd (‘I Found Loving’ ‘You Called & Told Me‘); with Special Guests: The Imperial Mac Don The 5th & Clarissa Rose, along with Dylan Jenet Collins & Natia who definitely had the crowd rocking! Speaking out from their perspective about the black-on-black violence that plagues our communities, the youth of the Order of the Feather Fraternity, Queens Chapter presented a segment entitled, Hear Our Voices, along with a special dance performance from the West Hempstead based, Aspiring Young Artists. South Jamaica, New York’s Greg X also spoke straight from the heart, with no chasers about the destruction caused by illicit drugs and violence.

Legendary hip hop pioneer, Larry ‘Love’ Moore was our emcee at the event.
